Day seven was all about Arizona, and we couldn't pass this close without a detour to the Grand Canyon.
No photo really does it justice, but we tried. From the South Rim you can see the Colorado River winding its way through the bottom of the canyon, and the team couldn't resist a wave from the edge. On the way through the pine forest, a couple of elk stopped grazing just long enough for a photo.
Then it was back to Route 66 and on to Kingman, the Heart of Historic Route 66, where the Lifter posed with one last giant 66 sign. That makes Cuba, Galena and now Kingman.
Next stop: Las Vegas, Nevada, and FABTECH!
Follow along on the Route 66 tour map, and come and see the Lifter at FABTECH, Las Vegas, 21 to 23 October, stand S19081.
