Take two in Los Angeles, and the Cylinder Lifter swapped the Hollywood Hills for the beach.
First stop, Venice Beach: the boardwalk, the street art and one very colorful sign. Then south to Redondo Beach, where the Lifter stood guard at Seaside Lagoon. The lifeguard tower down on the sand said "off duty", so Pat stepped in with his best Baywatch impression. Slow-motion running not included.
It wasn't all sun and sand. While in Los Angeles, Pat also visited Airgas.
Next: about seven hours up the coast, through Big Sur to Carmel.
